Björn Borg profits and sales jump in third quarter
For the period July 1 to September 30, 2021, the net sales of the Björn Borg Group amounted to SEK 240.1 million, an increase of 6.8%. The company’s e-commerce and e-commerce net sales amounted to SEK 85.8 million, an increase of 22.8%.
“Björn Borg has never had higher profitability in a single quarter, nor has sales been higher in a single quarter and profitability is now over SEK 100 million on a rolling 12-month basis,” said the CEO of the company, Henrik Bunge.
Highlights of Björn Borg’s performance in the third quarter
Gross profit margin was 54.4% vs. 50.4% last year, while operating profit was 52.4 million SEK compared to 33.4 million SEK the previous year .
Profit after tax was SEK 40.1 million versus SEK 25.8 million and earnings per share before and after dilution amounted to SEK 1.59 versus SEK 1.02.
Björn Borg’s net sales for the nine-month period increase by 7.9%
For the period January 1 to September 30, 2021, the group’s net sales amounted to SEK 587.6 million, an increase of 7.9%, and the net sales of e-commerce and online retailers owned to the company amounted to SEK 230.5 million. an increase of 33.1 percent.
Gross profit margin was 54.6% compared to 51.2 for the same period last year, while operating profit stood at SEK 94.1 million compared to SEK 27.2 million.
Profit after tax amounted to SEK 75 million versus SEK 17.6 million and earnings per share before and after dilution amounted to SEK 2.98 versus SEK 0.70.
