Decibel announces the postponement of the annual meeting of shareholders

CALGARY, Alta., August 31, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – Decibel Cannabis Company Inc. (the “Company” or “Decibel”) (TSXV: DB) (OTCQB: DBCCF), announces that the Company has decided to postpone its annual general meeting (the “Meeting”) of holders of ordinary shares (the “Shareholders”) of the Company which was to be held at 2:00 p.m. (Calgary It’s time Thursday, September 1, 2022.

The Company is postponing the meeting in order to encourage greater shareholder participation at the meeting. To date, the Company has received proxies from just under a third of shareholders with an unusual number of abstained votes compared to previous annual general meetings of the Company. The board of directors of the Company (the “Board”) has decided that it is in the interests of the Company and its Shareholders to postpone the Meeting in order to allow a wider level of participation by Shareholders in order to ensuring good corporate governance and giving the board time to hear any concerns any shareholder may have. The new date of the Meeting will be announced later.
